José Vigil Arquitectos is an architectural firm dedicated to the development of all types of architectural projects, with more than 30 years of experience in the architectural scene, spanning institutional, hotel and residential, among many others.

 

Understanding the space and a noticeable passion for details are the guidelines that mark the way architect José Vigil and his team work. The architect’s hand is the unlimited resource that —with the support of technology— integrates all their client’s needs in every project.

 

Architect José Vigil (Mexico City, 1956) graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana. His ability for teamwork has given him the opportunity to collaborate with important Mexican architects such as: Legorreta + Legorreta, Serrano, Serrano y Nava, Oscar Hagerman, DVA, SMA y Unidad Diseño.

 

 

Some of the outstanding projects in which he has participated are: The Library for the Autonomous University in Nuevo León, the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort in Punta Mita, the Human Rights Commission in Mexico City, the Four Seasons villas in Punta Mita and Villas de Mar in Punta Ixtapa, the Alí Chumacero Library at La Ciudadela in Mexico City; as well as several master plans in the Mexican coastline.

 

His professional career is enriched with teaching, giving the architectural design lecture at Universidad Iberoamericana since 1983. He is also member of the Fundación de Arquitectura Tapatía Luis Barragán A.C. He has been invited as speaker in Mexico and abroad, and his projects have been published in important national and international media.

 

Since 2007 he participates in the direction of the Ecological Design Workshop that pursues the ideal performance of diverse scales projects with financial viability and responsible social response. His projects have been awarded in Mexico and in other countries.
